A bit of everything to get your Safety in shape!

Safety services

We the Safe has been involved in the creation of hundreds of OHS Programs.  Our programs are great and have been used numerous times in successful COR audits, however we also know that implementation is the key to success.  A program needs to be used, shared, and updated annually or when a regulation changes.

To aid in the implementation we include a face-to-face review of the program with your supervisors.  We provide the program in a digital format on our safety management system called QR Safety.  With QR Safety anyone you provide login credentials to is able to view, use and print your program.  Both are provided at no additional cost, QR Safety is no charge for 1 year.

OHS Program – Program is provided in PDF format in a drop box, USB stick and on QR Safety.

Includes:

  • The 14 elements that are referenced in BCCSA COR (certificate of recognition)
  • Appendixes that are needed based on your company
  • Common Safe Work Procedures that align with your company tasks
  • Safe Job Procedures that are aligned with your company tasks
  • Forms
  • Common signage that can be printed, like a “Danger Silica Dust” sign

As part of a complete safety program we inspect what you expect.

These documented visits outline areas that are being performed as per the safety program.  Workers names will be connected to the positive results to allow for recognition.

The visits will also highlight any areas that need focus, tasks and actions that are not aligned with your safety program, the regulations, product proper use instructions and relevant standards.  The report uses a matrix to highlight the highest concern complete with suggested action and future evaluation.

Workplace inspections reinforce the safety program and the safe work procedures.  Alignment with the writings, teachings and the workers actions is best measured by day to day habits.  Our goal is to build and support the habits that align with the program.  Once accomplished new and young workers see the program in effect and the culture of safety continues.

Workplace inspections are best performed on a regular basis with documented results that include actions taken to correct any violations found.

QR Hybrid Orientations automatically creates a QR profile for each worker.

The best time to communicate your company’s commitment to workplace safety is day 1 of employment.  We create an interactive web-based orientation that is aligned with your new OHS Program and company values.

      • Eliminates paperwork hassle
      • Create consistency
      • Available in multiple languages
      • QR profile for each worker – add training certificates, violations etc.

All training certificates are automatically added to workers QR profile.

Employers have a responsibility to educate their employees.

We offer a wide variety of certified safety training, including but not limited to Fall Protection, JOHS Committee, Supervisors, Respiratory Fit Testing, Mobile Equipment such as Boom Lift, Forklift, Telehandler, Skid Steer, Suspended Swing Stage, Skid Steer.

Often the total cost of ownership for specialty safety equipment is not work it and rental is a better solution.  Maybe due to cost, maybe due to inspections needed or maybe due to calibrations.

We rent specialty equipment for confined space entry, enclosed space entry and rescue and fall protection anchors.

Our team ensures the gear is inspected and ready to use.  When accessories are needed to comply, we ensure they are in the package.

Rental is one of the total solution pieces.  We can asses the hazard, write the procedure, train your crew and rent you the equipment.

      Site Safety Plans

Site safety plans are large computer drawn plans that highlight the important safety items found on job sites and in the workplace.  This is one of the first and most often used forms of communication for every worker and visitor.  A plan shows everything from where hospital is to location of muster station.  The plans are created with symbols to reduce language concerns.  Site safety plans evolve as the job changes.  We update the plans as required.

      Construction Fire Safety Plans

Construction sites require a plan to minimize the risk of fire and to communicate the critical items needed to fight a fire.  Construction fire safety plans identify key elements as required by the local jurisdiction.  Working with the developer we ensure all elements are completed and create a computer drawn poster to post on the job site.  Where are the fire hydrants, what types of buildings are nearby, who is in charge if there is a fire?  These are a few of the items identified in the plan as well as on the poster.

      Traffic Management Plan

After assessing the risk of traffic control, a traffic management plan may be required. The goal of effective traffic management is to protect workers and accomodate road users while work is underway on roadways, even minor traffic disruptions may have efficiency and safety implications. Our plans ensure that project and site-specific issues are accommodated; potential traffic impacts are reviewed and mitigated; stakeholders are notified of potential impacts and evaluation and modification occurs as needed.

      Crane Safety Plan

Our Crane Safety Plans are based on the engineering drawings, having the plus of identifying overlapping zones, ground markers, crane zoning systems, overhead hazards and many other hazards.
