An instructor led journey to identify and deal with the risk of Impaired Workers in the workplace. There are many different causes for impairment, and all can be a cause for serious harm. Created by a team experienced in OHS Management, Safety Management Systems, and adult education, that includes registered teachers and registered safety professionals.
Topics: Through a hands-on, personalized experience students will get to:
Understand the definition of impairment
Know the regulation and where to find it
Know the Owner, Employer, Supervisor and Worker responsibilities
Identify suspected impairment
Assess the hazards & risks
Understand how to approach an impaired worker
Recognize when medical assessment & testing may be required
Learn how to manage and document a case of impairment
Students will be provided with a comprehensive workbook that includes samples of documents and forms that are part of an effective Impaired Worker Management System

Training can be provided at client’s facility
Snacks and beverages provided if at Burnaby facility
There is written exam at the end of class with a minimum passing mark of 60%
Upon successful completion eCards will be issued to individuals
