Fork Lift Operator Safety Training

Course Outline

An instructor led journey to understand how to operate Fork Lifts safely. With both theory and practical elements, students will understand how to protect themselves and others when operating Fork Lifts in the workplace. Developed in line with requirements set in OHS Regulations, CSA Standards and Operator manuals of common models in Canada. Currently offered on-site only.

Topics:

Through a hands-on, personalized experience students will get to:

Understand applicable legislation and where to find it

Understand Documentation & Training requirements

Demonstrate the ability to perform inspection and function test

Identify operating hazards

Know hazard controls

Understand different steering modes and their uses

Understand how to read indicators

Use load charts

Understand Safe Work Practices

Understand machine stability

Who should attend:

Fork Lift Operators

Duration:

2 hours of curriculum plus 0.5 hour practical per student

Course material:

Students will be using a comprehensive digital book

Logistics:

Courses can only be provided at client’s facility at the moment

A Fork lift in good working condition is required for training

Operators are expected to have basic knowledge on Fork Lift operation

There is a written quiz and practical assessment per student

Upon successful completion, eCards will be issued to the employer, and QR Tags and hardhat stickers will be issued to individuals.
